I started with the CAP as a Junior Member of the Informatics Committee during my training at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently I serve as the Chair of the Pathology Electronic ReporTing Committee (PERT), having been member and subsequently Vice-Chair since 2014. I have been a member of the Council on Scientific Affairs (CSA) where I served as the Chair of the Informatics Cluster. I transitioned to the Council on Informatics and Pathology Innovation (CIPI) from CSA in November 2022. I am also a member of the Information Technology Leadership Committee, which reports directly to the Board of Governors. In addition to Council and Committee activities I am a member of the IHC Validation Expert Panel currently working on guidelines for IHC validation in the laboratory.

My greatest honor  during my time with the CAP has been receiving the 2022 Distinguished Service Award from the CAP .  I still treasure that moment, and I have attached here a photo from with my colleagues George Birdsong and Ross Simpson. You can see how excited I am This reflects my dedication to patient care, to pathology, and to the CAP!
